Tennessee native John Stallings was first introduced to music the way many southern boys’ are - through the church. "I grew up in a strong southern Baptist
home. I stood beside my mama and she sang along with the hymns, and most of the time she was singing harmony”. He says."My father was the minister of
music and my brother and I were singing in his choir by the age of ten, and dad taught us both to play guitar. The music is definitely all on my father’s side.
" Not surprisingly, John's musical heritage is filled with country music "We grew up only 3 hours from Nashville (Music City USA), and lived in the foothills of the (Great Smoky Mountains), and lived a stone’s throw away from famed theme park (Dolly wood) home to "Dolly Parton".”I always told everybody when I toured
