Iris discovered her gift for singing in the Faith Bible Church Youth Choir at the tender age of seven. It was there, where she sang her first solo & knew that she really wanted to be a singer. Iris' singing influence also came by way of her dad Bob McCarthy. Later on, both would minister at times singing side by side for God.
As a teenager, Iris attended Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Fort Washington Md. Iris ministered in singing with The Rejoice Young Adult Choir, under the leadership of the late Rev. Donald Vails.
While attending Bowie State University, Iris sang with the Concert Choir, Gospel Choir. She also sang in multiple talent show competitions. One of which she won first place. Iris graduated in 2001 with a BA in Fine & Performing Art/Music Ed. With a concentration in vocal music, Iris began her teaching career in elementary gen/vocal music. She is currently in her tenth year of teaching in the P.G. County School System.
Iris has currently completed her debut album entitled "Holy". The album in its entirety is produced & recorded by her husband Bryan C. Lewis, Sr. Bryan is also the founder of HitSticka Records, Wildfire Blaze Productions, and SkyFire Entertainment LLC.
Iris resides in Southern Maryland with her husband Bryan Lewis, Sr., daughters Brynea and Bryanne, & son Bryan "Deuce" Lewis, Jr.
