RISING FROM THE STREETS TO ROYALTY BEATS
Rapper and songwriter Keith Pressley was born on December 17, 1982, in Atlanta, Georgia. Pressley adopted the name Luckie at a very young age when he realized his talent at music was different in a way of others. Luckie has appeared on several mix tapes and headlined local shows. Being the hard worker he is, Luckie continues to strive for the quality music Atlanta once had.
At the young age of 14, Luckie started rapping. He would lay down beats at South West DeKalb High School and impress the ladies who would watch him flow over and against the challengers. Bystanders were highly impressed enough with his skills to invite Luckie to perform in talent shows, clubs, and appear in various music videos.
ASPIRING RAPPER
As part of his first rap group, Perfect Thuggz, Luckie received his first taste of success. The group consisted of five rising up comers who decided to go their separate ways. With their hard core rhymes, silhouetted with a harmonic flow, the late 90’s group was on there way to music stardom, but changes had to be made.
That same year, Luckie left Perfect Thuggz and launched his solo career with his first solo single, Beast Mode. The title track was a big hit in the underground world, providing the streets with something new to rely on. The track dives into Beast Mode for everyone who has doubts or the answer no in their minds. He grinds in his rhymes to never give up and never take no for an answer. No matter how hard it is in these streets, never say no to your world of stardom, Go Beast Mode.
In a career-changing move, Luckie is taking a step further into the industry and is in the process of releasing his first underground mix tape, Don’t Piss The Streets Off. His mix tape tracks features beats borrowed and created, featuring new lyrics he created. His second hot single, known as Check I Be is off of the mix tape, Don’t Piss the Streets Off.
For all of his success, Luckie has never forgotten his roots. He is currently working on launching a website and business known as, “A Shot at Royalty.”
