I'm just a guy who loves music, although it hasn't always loved me back. To me, it's kind of a selfish pursuit because I don't play to make others happy. I play to make me happy. I love when an audience is into what I'm doing because it's gratifying to connect with people in that way. Even still, if they don't, I'm just as happy. I spent a long time driving myself crazy trying to write music that would sell and make the charts but, in the end, I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll never make another dime playing but I'm going to do what I love and write just what's in me to write.
