Brandone Smith was born January, 14th, 1989 in Toronto, Ontario. Brandone grew up in Toronto's notorious Flemingdon Park neighborhood, where he was exposed to a lot of violence and poverty. He also experienced racism, due to the fact the he is of Jamaican and Ukranian decent. Brandone always used his love for music as a way to express himself, and change his moods. He has always had a passion and love for all types of music, but as he grew he gravitated to rap/hip-hop music and began writing music, free-styling and pursuing his music dreams. He wrote his first solo song " I'm A Save That" at the age of 10 years old. When he hit grade 6, he took the opportunity to perform a lip sync dance in front of his Grade 6 Drama Class to "Ice Cubes" song "Back That A** Up" with a few classmates. Over the years his passion, lyrics & flow grew stronger alongside his delivery. As Drama grew into a teenager he started focusing more on his music, swag and presence. Then he hit high school, where he got another opportunity to showcase his talent at his Fort Erie Secondary School Talent Show in front of hundreds of students, teachers, parents and sponsors. Then he moved back to his home city Toronto, where he jumped right back into his music and started a group in 2007 called "Toronto Sopranoz with his good friend "Looney Tunez". As his name grew and his group expanded his connections and affiliates did too. He also gained sponsors like C.H.I.L. Clothing, Beaches Blues Festival and Danforth Musical Festival. Then he really started taking things more professionally, performing at smaller Hip-Hop Showcases & Charity Events around the city. He has also gotten air time on Radio Stations like Maximum FM Radio, and other stations across the country. Then in 2012, he began holding his own music and charity shows, while also performing at larger showcases, hosting events and making merchandise for his group to use at shows and promo events. He has been featured on FOX TV's 'The Jay Stoyan Show" , as well as several Talk Shows and Radios internationally, In 2015, he branched off with a Toronto Music Label/Group "My City Record's" and sponsor Maple Sizzurp, and also starting a New Street Music Movement the "Blak Coke Gang (B.C.G)", representing talented artists and helping with promotion campaigning. Yonge Drama also started to invest money into his group, bringing larger known US recording artist to Toronto, recording time, distribution, photography, videos, venues, dub features and merchandise. Yonge Drama's Music is a representation of him, his life, and everything he's seen, been threw and experienced. His love for music and his people are the reasons why he does it.
