Wow, what a blast from the past!
Double Agent is a real gas! It has all of the cloak 'n'
dagger, mystery and suspense of the '50s/'60s
action-adventure, spy, secret agent and private
investigator television shows and movies.
Remember Mission: Impossible, I Spy, It Takes a
Thief, Peter Gunn and James Bond? Double Agent
pays homage to those classics and others ... in
volumes.
With double-picked glissandos, dripping reverb and a cool surf beat on the drums,
Double Agent also gives a very respectful nod to the Tiki gods.
As the kids on American Bandstand might say, "Well, Dick, I give Double Agent a 100. It has a great beat and I can dance to it."
John Ruppe lives in North Carolina. He
has been playing guitar for about 30 years
and has been in several bands, playing a
variety of genres. John enjoys writing and
playing music at home. He works on his
own music and collaborates with Robert
Beall on some country music.
Surf music has always been one of John's
favorite genres.
Double Agent held the #1 slot at
