In 1997 at age 38 started to sing karaoke in Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui State. Since then he really would feel a passion for singing and dreamed for stages and claps. In 2008 friendly relations made him join a Portuguese club in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, where in June 2009 he would sing, as always, some karaoke songs. In this club there is a group of soloist-singers to entertain both club members and Caracas Portuguese community called Estrellas Lusitanas (Lusitanian Stars). Its manager invited Oscar to participate in the Annual Song Festival of the Federation of Portuguese Clubs of Venezuela "Feceporven" held on July 11, 2009 at another Portuguese Club in Valencia, Carabobo State, with the song "El Gorrión (The Sparrow). This way, at his 49, Oscar would debut as singer. He would think his dreams came true, his enthusiasm increased and began his rehearsals every week with the group of soloists.
