Lyricist and Producer Joejune whose real name is Thomas Copeland Jr. was born on January 11, 1988 in Oceanside California. His parents divorced when he was three. He was raised by his mother, Deborah Copeland, a writer in Southern California. He spent a majority of his childhood in Vista, California. Joejune was exposed to music at a very young age. Thanks to his mother he grew up listening to a wide range of music. His mom would spend hours playing big band oldies, broadway musical, 70's rock, and 80's newwave music. And like a sponge, he absorbed it all. Joejune's musical journey began with his first love classic rock. Influenced by his musical icons, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Cat Stevens, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed, and the Mamas and the Papas, he taught himself how to play the guitar at fourteen. In 2003 Joejune and a few of his classmates formed an alternative rock band by the name of Death on Nile. He played with them for a brief period of time, and eventually ventured out to Hip Hop music in 2005. He begin writing and recording his own songs. Utilizing what he'd learned from the rock band that he was in during high school, he begin combining both hip hop and rock into his music. In the summer of 2006 a production team by the name of "Elephaders" approached Joejune regarding collaboration. Joejune created a dozen tracks with the production team and eventually started producing his own stuff.
