Shawn has only been rapping for about a one year. The first rap song he ever heard was Eminem's slim shady song on the radio. After that his sister introduced him to Jay-Z the Vol.2 and he was hooked. Growing up in Virginia his influnces were southern rappers like Big Tymers, Ludacris, and so on. Shawn soon moved to CT where he learned of East Coast Rap, his favorites were Nas who is his inspiration for rapping and his favorite song off all time is memory Lane. Dipset and G-unit. By the time he was getting ready to go to college rap music was making a transformation. Soon it wasn't about gangsters, guns, and being a thug because Shawn was none of those. Rappers like Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco changed that. Shawn begin freestylin wit his roomate Phillip Brown in their dorm room as a joke. Junior year Phillip bought a samson mini condenser mic and the two begin finding beats and recording learning how to mix songs, structure and form of a hip-hop record and how to measure bars. Senior year they bought a new mic and started working with producers for better mixes and getting their songs mastered. There first Mixtape Free Trial is name that describes their trials and tribulations with a mix of a little bit of what the have to offer not everything though because it is only a Free Trial. With new rappers like Drake and Kid Cudi, Shawn saw this as a perfect oppurtunity to introduce himself to the hip-hop genre
