Ben Gary Gillette (born January 11, 1990), also known as Benz aka The Mastermind or Mr. Burke County On My Shoulders, is an African-American recording artist, & music producer. He grew up in Sardis & Waynesboro Georgia (Burke County). At the age of 14 he took interest in poetry and started to write lyrics everyday. A year later he was inspired to write and produce music by his cousin (Dontorrius Gillette) aka Bandana Da Boss and another local artist known as Max Payne. Benz molded himself to be Burke County’s Best Producer/Artist and there is no doubt that he is. He now produces all of Bandana Da Boss’s Music and his music group known as BMC, as well as other local artist. He has performed in many places such as Savannah, Sylvania, Sardis, Waynesboro, Augusta, Benz’s falls under 2 genres. Unlike most artists he does a combination of Rap and R&B. One day he plans to combine the genres as one genre called Thug Poetry. Benz has released 2 single studio albums “Thug Poetry (2010)”, & “(TP2) The Last Page of Thug Poetry (2011)”, a group album called “Picture Me Ballin (2010)” with his music group BMC (Beast Mode Click). He has released R&B singles like “Cant Get Enough Of Yo Love feat. Dice”, “Player for Life feat. Moe”, “Drive a Thug Crazy” & many more.
