It’s no surprise that Dominic Bosman has been developing his rare passion for music since his childhood. Dominic’s roots are from Cape Town, South Africa where he was born and raised until 1988. His father always had the music playing on the record player listening to tunes of the Bee Gee’s, Otis Redding, Percy Sledge and Stevie Wonder. Listening and singing to the music was one of their favorite things to do together. “My Dad would identify the different rhythms and harmonies and how each artist has developed their own unique style to the song” says Dominic.
After the family moved to Canada, Dominic sought out every opportunity to showcase his musical ability by participation in charity events, fashion shows, picnics, and in school over the PA system at times. In his senior year in High School he and a friend organized a group called “Kamikaze”. If they weren’t booked they would sing at birthday parties, to crowds in the park, and on the Train and Subway Stations.
Dominic eventually graduated but never lost the desire to pursue his passion and love of music. As he understood the importance of creating his own unique niche as an artist he gives credit to a set of musical influences such as; Jodeci to Roger Sanchez. Developing a unique style of fusing smooth R&B with high-energy house always draws an enthusiastic crowd. Capitalizing on today’s social media marketing techniques on the web Dominic’s international fan base is expanding especially in Europe and the USA.
Dominic's enthusiasm for life and sheer determination has gained him recognition as an accomplished singer, songwriter and entertainer.
Dominic is known for his soulful R&B and his songwriting has always emphasized that but has recently started writing tracks to different styles of music. The scope of Dominic’s soprano produces an array of melodies that are bright, clean, and piercing to the spirit.
“Experimenting continuously with versatility in my music has helped me make changes in my own style” says Bosman. Dominic’s relentless drive to expand his experiences has brought him to his creative cutting edge song writing.
With two new singles and his first album underway, and Dominic’s determination and passion he is destined for success. His most important teacher and greatest inspiration passed on in 2005 and as Dominic remembers his Dad’s legacy, he proudly represents the family name.
