Thomas "KONTRAVERZY" Stephens Jr was born on September, 12th, 1983 in
Newark, New Jersey. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up "KONTRAVERZY" was always
interested in making music. At the age of seven he was singing, and banging buckets with sticks. By
the time he was thirteen he had already built a name for himself in his neighborhood as a freestyle
artist, winning rap battles against rappers twice his age."KONTRAVERZY" started writing at the age of
sixteen. He started out writing verses, then began to write full length songs, wasn't long before
he was able to play with words, and tell stories based on his life with perfection. At the age of nineteen,
"KONTRAVERZY" began producing his own music. In the year "2008" he became an ASCAP
member, formed a music publishing company (KONTRA MUZIK), and dedicated himself to his craft.
"KONTRAVERZY" is now a huge inspiration in the studio, and his instrumentals is known to touch the soul,
as well as his lyrics. He has also produced other underground artist such as; Blacks,
Celsius, Izzy, Stack Mills, Streets, Puma, Pyro, Conquerer Di Warrior, Trust, Young Cash, Young Dre, and
the list continues to grow. "KONTRAVERZY" as also dropped his first official mixtape "KONTRAVERZY VOL.1"."KONTRAVERZY" is currently in the studio working on his first official
