Born in Waco, Texas, Roderick Watson Jr. “aka” OFFICIAL has personified the name with perseverance, dedication and commitment to his craft. After leaving home OFFICIAL landed a job with Kim Dawson, one of the top modeling agencies in Dallas at 12. While there he modeled for JC Penny for 5 years. Then OFFICIAL landed a role in the movie, “Serving Sara” with Matthew Perry, Elizabeth Hurley and Cedric “the Entertainer” which was filmed in Dallas, Texas. Soon after the movie, he filmed commercials for Pep Boys, Hasbro Transformer’s and completed work as voice over’s for various projects through the Kim Dawson Agency. OFFICIAL continued to harness his skills as a true Rap/Hip-Hop lyricist and free style artist. People quickly took notice of his ability when he won second place at the Slip-N-Slide Talent Showcase Competition in 2008. Since then he has been igniting stages at Core DJs Retreat in Atlanta, GA, Miami Conference Fest in Miami, FL and countless clubs throughout the country and worked with many top producers and DJs such as the Diaz Brothers and DJ Nasty.
