This is the Soundclick page for The Plastic Device. If you lived in the Huntington area of Long Island, NY in the early 1980's, you may have heard of us.
The group consisted of the following members:
Stephen Hunking - vocals, harp.
Chris Xefos - keyboards, vocals, bass
Dave Ramirez - drums, vocals
Dan Cuddy - bass, vocals
Mike Morgione - guitar (until 1983)
Dave Wise - guitar, vocals (post-1983)
The band was in existence from about 1981 to 1984 and played extensively in the Long Island and New York City area.
To all of our old fans (and new ones), please enjoy the recordings. We were kids, played like kids, and had fun like kids. I think the band sounded pretty good, all things considered. Although we played some covers, we mainly wrote our own stuff (Dan Cuddy mostly). Many of the members went onto bigger and better things, musically, in the 1980's and 1990's, but the craft was developed here.
