Artist: D Two
D Two grew up on music; it was like music was a part of his daily life. It was always more I wanted to know about it. So to actually start my bio off, I started out writing poetry first that was at the age of 13. The name D Two came from looking at my name one day in cursive writing and seen how the capital “Q” looked like the number two so I took the first letter of my name and the two and called myself D Two. At the age of 15 I grab my first beat. I can remember it like it was yesterday, Pastor Troy- Vica Versa (instrumental) was the beat. I had to write like 3 different songs off the same beat and I took a boom box and put it to the computer microphone and tried to record me a track off sound recorder. Right there, at 15 I gained much love for the music. I started getting more beats, and writing more songs. I wasn’t too focused on my music like I should have been back then, because I had so many distractions, playing football, basketball, and running track, had me really busy. So, I had a bunch of music together and now I need somewhere to record. I linked up with a dude by the name of “Git” A local artist, but he had a small time recording studio and he was charging fifteen dollars an hour. So at 18 I went to Git to record for the first time on some real studio equipment. Took my completed mix tape and gave it to everyone I knew. Actually letting everyone know that I’m a musician and I got good quality music to show off. But see my recording with Git wasn’t going to last that long because he moved to Atlanta Georgia to pursue his music career. After that I tended to fall back off music until I went to Valdosta Ga, I linked up with a guy by the name of Doug Mitchell “Fresh” had a movement going with a group called “ South Squad”. To me when it came down to it Fresh knew it all about the music business. So I got with him to start back recording some new material. With him I dropped another mix tape about my life. And title it “Larger than Life” I never could seem to be focused at all about my music. Until, I finally asked myself what is my purpose on Earth? And my conclusion came up that music is my talent, music is something I love doing. So I actually got it together and got more focused with my music. I started making tracks with some homies. Yung Murda, LT, Country, City Boy (which is my brother), and GM3(my oldest brother) Now, I’m in this movement to give music my best effort and make the best out of it, So I’m bring mix tape after mix tape. To make my word heard in the streets. I started getting original beats that’s when I met Youngbrix. The hottest beats in Gainesville FL. I started making more and more tracks. That’s when I met another engineer Sean Hunter of Beat Trap. Best in-home quality studio I have ever been in. There is where I began to lay down a lot of my work. So, know my duties as a local artist wanting to make it big. Make a lot of forward progress and love my city for what my city is worth. Because they will carry me, D Two bring hits is all you ever hear from me. Check me out on facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Reverb Nation.
