Don’t let the name fool you. Hog Pin is a group of young adults that believe in God. They thrive on unity, love, sacrifice, respect, and family. They realize that one will not “eat” (prosper) without the help of others, and they do not mind working hard to achieve their goals. They use these ideals to give strength and guidance to youth in their communities in Alabama. Using their music and other talents, the group has coached and helped many young men and women go to college, stop selling and doing drugs, and strive for a Christian life. The members of Hog Pin derive from the dirty, back-woods of Alabama (Selma, Fauns dale & Linden) where there is red dirt and farms. James Cleveland, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, The Caravans and more, the group’s musical style adapts to any situation or lifestyle. That’s what Hogs DO! Yes, their music is a mixture of music from the 50s to the present from R&B to Hip Hop to Blues to Rock to Southern Soul to Gospel. The members, Bonnavill aka Derrick Haywood, Passion aka Delendra Peterson, and $etitoff aka Cedric Haywood, have a connective energy that flows through
