Regulator was founded in 1999 with the intention of becoming a Large Scale Independent Record Label. The corporation was established in 2003 by leasing the trademark Young Gunz® to (RAF) Roc-a-Fella Records, (IDJ) Island Def Jam Records, and (UMG) Universal Music Group. Backed with financing from private investors in the music industry, The label started to expand its foundation.
