My name is Joe Marro. I got to Niagara Community College. I started a little side project that was supposed to be an ambient/techno thing but then I started writing some instrumental prog metal stuff and mixing it together. Thus MarroTech was formed. I can not say I know alot about space or the beautiful wonders of the univerese but I feel that there has always been a connection between music and the univerese. I try to write music not based on what the trends are, its all about the atmosphere and the beauty (and people seem to like it so I don't complain). I am heavily influenced by shred guitar as one can hear, but I am no machine! you may not hear it here, but I draw alot of influence from ambient/space music, indian music, and even jazz (but I am no master of jazz.) those styles of music have alot of feeling and feeling is important. I love melodies and unique textures just as much as I love shredding...do not think I am the typical shredder! Without music, I feel I would be just another loser who spends most his time only watching TV, getting into trouble, and partying but guitar and music in general has given me a reason to wake up everyday. I have no love life, many failed attempts so I ignore those feelings just a little. but anywho lol, I use to practice alot when I was younger and it saved my life! to this day I try to get 2-3 hours in a day (I wish I still had time for 6 a day!). Practice your craft, create, inspire, reach out.
