Born Nicholas Nelson BKA Shy City was born on the south side of Chicago and just like the cold blooded winters of the CHI this young mans internal expressions brought to life through a keyboard mirrored the naked soul of the city he was born and raised in. To explain this phenomenoms exquisite sound is like trying to slap box a gorilla in a phone booth "just plain stupid" Much like the relentless wind his hometown is known for his music will blow you from the South Side to the East side through the North and land you on the Western hemisphere of your brain with your pleasure senses on orgasm.
Being a true product of generation Y the boy is a multi-tasking guru. Producing is his passion however his graphic design and engineering talents rival his production skills. With a keen ear and diligent work ethic Shy has been able to work with array of artist like carl Thomas to KRS One not to mention various independent artist with local success that he has rendered his services to. Shy City isnt a household name yet however with his insistent dedication multiplied by hard work success is always a thought away.
