Born Destin Thibodeaux, in New Orleans Louisiana, Onset has been involved in music since a very young age. He graduated from N.O.C.C.A (New Orleans Center For Creative Arts)in 1999 as a jazz major, and then began to produce electronic music and dj-ing all throughout the region, primarily drum and bass. It wasn't until 2003 that he began to produce hip hop and landed his first local hit single with Falcon Entertainment artist Crizmatik, called "before your gone." Everyone called it the Katrina song. It was the longest running #1 song on the countdown in the radio stations (b-97) history. Then, in 2006 he linked up with the producer of "I Smoke I Drank," named Beatdoctor, and decided to join his team. Since then Onset has landed production credits with artist such as Akon, Snoop Dogg, Young Buck, B.G., Magic, Baby Boy, Hurricane Chris, Jennifer Glass, Rockell, Lloyd,Juvinile and has won several beat battles including sound clash and the southern producer championship at the Republic in New Orleans.
