When doctors at one of Los Angeles’ most prestigious hospitals gave Al seventy two hours to live after her bowel was nicked during a planned cesarean section they did not know that her experience would lead to an encounter with God that would cause a closer and more profound walk with Christ. That ‘death’ itself would be the catalyst to champion a new musical genre. The question is constantly asked, why Urban Country Gospel? The answer for Mac Will is always the same: “it’s Gods will for my life and when you almost die and don’t, only a fool would continue to live life the same.”
Al Mac Will has written over 300 songs -each one vividly illustrating the testimonies in life- and developed Urban Country Gospel by incorporating country gospel’s traditional song structure with impassioned vocals and harmonies.
