Don’t be fooled by the name Willowan Lights if it conjures up images of hippies dancing around to 1970's folk music with flowers in their hands. Willowan Lights sound couldn't be further from those images. Their sound is an original and unique mixture of complex guitar instrumentals combined with catchy melodies reminiscent of rock bands The Church, U2, Nirvana, Oasis and even Coldplay. In 2004 school friends Josh Storham, Jon Sordello and Dave Jesser attended a private party. The band playing for the night welcomed the trio to get up and jam whilst they took a break. The response was so overwhelming that the beginning of Willowan Lights was formed. In May 2010 bass guitarist Tom Dixon joined the band and the line-up was complete. They have been playing live locally around Melbourne since July 2009.
