Robert E. Lee is the nephew of Grammy award-winner, Rockin' Sidney and Grammy-nominated vocalist, Faye Robinson. At an early age Robert began to show interest in music and started taking piano lessons when he was six. By twelve years old, he regularly competed in classical competitions and had been attending the Interlochen Center of the Arts summer program for several years. But it was not until high school that Robert discovered his true musical passion: record production and music composing! After high school, Robert went on to study piano performance in all contemporary genres and audio engineering at the prestigious Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood, CA. During his time at MI, Darryl Swann, Grammy-nominated engineer and producer of Macy Gray, mentored Robert and helped him develop his “flair” in the studio. Since that time, Robert has produced and collaborated on projects with artists such as New Zealand’s award winning vocalist, Aaradhna, renowned R&B/Hip-Hop producer, G-1 (916 Music Productions), film composer and former drummer for Ours, Kirke Jan Blankenship (AcademyCurve), and is a SESAC affiliate. Robert’s engineering and production resume is equally impressive and includes working in studios such as Eastwest (formerly Cello Studios), Paramount/Ameraycan, and Singer Productions. Currently, Robert lives in Los Angeles, CA producing and composing music.
