Jack The Drummer, born Mikel Ruffin is an aspiring music producer with goals of reaching levels in the music business far beyond existent. The oldest of three, Jack is the son of immigrant parents who reached the shore lines of south florida in the 1980 Cuban boat lift. Born in Chicago,Ills, Mike and his family relocated to Miami,Fl in the mid 80's escaping the harsh gang infested streets of Chicago.
Although coming from a Cuban heritage and non english speaking parents, the sounds of Barry White, Bob Marley, James Brown and numerous music of non Latin origins were mostly played at home while growing up. Growing up in an Afro Cuban culture, instantly exposed young Mike to the Congo sounds and instruments native to the African culture. The most famous Afro Cuban religion founded in Cuba By African slaves "Santeria" played a big role in Jack's musical conquests for the past 14 years.
In 1996, Jack wrote his first raps along side long time friend tropikAL A.K.A "AL". Just 6 years down the road, Jack evaluated his raps and concluded he has reached peak level in that designated skill which brought him a step further into beat making. Stating that one of the main reasons he got into beat making was from the lack of beats of his own, Jack started dropping tracks.
