Producer, Rapper SpO2k also known as the “SkullHead Don” was born as Maurice Anthony Gilmore on December 6, 1989 in Montgomery, Al.
Removed from the parental care of his mother due to her drugs habit only after a couple of months of birth. He was placed in the custody of the state of Alabama. Adopted months later and moved to Bessemer, Al. His parental guardian changed his named to Waynmon Anthony Toney. SpO2k grew up in the Greater Birmingham Area.
SpO2k has always had a passion for music. He grew up listening to R&B and Hip-Hop.
In 2001, at the age 11, seeing how interested and determine he was about music around the house, his parents convinced him to join the band to learn how to play an instrument. Tuba was his instrument of choice. Not only did he learn how to read music, he also learned how to compose his own arrangements.
Also the same year he developed a interest in rap battling in his school . He started freestyling
among other kids of all ages around the school and neighborhood.
In 2004, at the age 14, SpO2k started producing original beats using FL Studios, He’s more than proficient in that software today.
A year later he started writing and using his creativity to apply his lyrical skill to his impressive beats.
In 2006, at the age 16, SpO2k teamed up with another local solo artist “Big Tip” who is now known as “Skoolie Escobar” .
