How yall get into music?
Squad Mafia:
It came from the Womb; god given talents. It became a point to where we felt the music industry needed to be uplifted and brought back with reality as the headline. With all the members being from Oakland, Ca they have experienced life in a very fast lane over coming immense hardships, altercations, and adversity. Through the experiences they all developed an ability of breaking down life situations and sought the talent as a way out of the common state of being.
Gbeezy Said, ” Music was the only thing available to tune me out from the negativity surrounding my living situations. When I began to rap and put my thoughts in peoples ears, I knew it was gods gift. ”
D.H. Said, ” From Birth it was a gift, my parents where making me with music playing! From childhood, I have had aspirations of being like a Tupac. Everyone I looked up to was in the streets and rapping their lifestyles, expressing their minds. Getting drug money without the drug selling.”
Wugh Said, “I was born into music, it was the only chance to escape the lifestyle surrounding me. It was a gift of gaining respect and the oppurtunity to bring the respect of being a person and expressing my visions.”
how was the group formed?
All the members of the group ended up moving to Bakersfield at various times during their childhood. G-Beezy, D.H., and Wugh attended South High School and played football together from 2001-2005. In 2006, K.P. moved down to Bakersfield from Oakland, Ca.
