In Sept. 2008, she was awarded 2nd place at the Liberace Piano Competition held in Las Vegas, Nevada. She's garnered numerous amounts of awards throughout her lifetime including taking 1st place for 3 years in a row at the U.S. Open Piano Competition held in Oakland, CA as well as The Search For Talent Competition held in Pasadena, CA. She was also chosen as one of the 30 finalists to compete at the Stravinsky International Piano Competition, held in Champagne-Urbana, IL, where she competed against hundreds of pianists around the world. She is currently in the process of starting a fundraising campaign for her own studio called "The Alcazar Piano Studio Annual Fund," in hopes to open a more professional environment/studio for her students. She's a very busy woman traveling and teaching in both San Diego and Los Angeles counties with a total of 26 students. She also substitutes as an accompanist for the St. Columban Choir located in Los Angeles. Her goal in life is to become a successful working pianist/musician/entrepreneur. She plans on graduating from CalArts in 2011with a Master's Degree in Fine Arts majoring in Piano Performance.
