What is KARKAS Records, Inc.?
KARKAS Records was created January of 2009. KARKAS Records is an all underground record label that is owned by Glenn Luscher and Darryl Wayman. It is very supportive of the artists that are signed to the record label. Promotion of the artists is a huge factor that makes KARKAS Records stand out from the rest of the record labels out there.
The artists are not bound to a contract at this time. Everything that is done is solely by agreement situation by situation unless recognized as something previously discussed or is the decision of better judgment after evaluating the needs of the artist. The artist has full rights to knowledge of what is being done. Upon leaving KARKAS, we give more rights than most record labels.
The artists of KARKAS Records are not obligated to stay underground forever. However, during the term of being signed by KARKAS Records artists are considered underground.
We operate primarily through Digital Distribution at this time.
All artists are not limited to what they do. They are all encouraged to be experimental and work together to get the best of everything. Improvement and Promotion are also big things that we work on. Diversity, Teamwork, Acceptance and Goal-Orientation are also very important factors of KRI.
