Chicago is known for its landmarks and tourist attraction; the infamous Sears Tower, and Navy Pier, all of the magnificent theaters. It’s even known for its politicians, the great ones like President Barack Obama, and the not so great ones, like Rod Blagojevic and George Ryan. Soon Chicago will be known for its newest musical pioneer, a young man by the name of Joka. Joka, whose real name is JanArt Brendan Sterling Winfrey, is an artist/ producer/engineer from the west side of Chicago. He eats, drinks, and sleeps music. He began doing music in 1999, rapping with a group of his friends for fun, beat boxing when instrumentals were needed. Soon this fun hobby of his became an undying passion. The young ambitious boy who use the beat on school desks to make rhythms is now a young, creative, imaginative man who produces for acts all around Chicago and beyond. ? His broad taste in music is evident in his productions.
