From Model to Producer to Actor to father to husband….We minus well have a choice for “All the Above” for this guy.
Theo “Rick Vick” Johnson seems to have been blessed by the God’s themselves (if this was a Spartacus episode). Theo began his journey with producing. Gaining interest in producing tracks back in 1999 after not having the funds to purchase tracks from producers, Theo used a settlement check from an accident to purchase him a Roland MC 303, Tascam recorder, and a set of Dj Turntables (it was a very small check). With this he began producing his own tracks and realized this is what he wanted to do. After doing research and seeing that there were other artists out there in the same boat as him, he placed an ad in the Source Magazine promoting and selling beats he created with this set up. This strategy went so well that even long after the ad was not published in the following issues; Theo was still receiving request and money orders for beats.
After a short lay off do to family and personal issues, Theo found himself right back where he left off. Working with a trouble youth and abused woman program, he aided them with creating songs that lift their spirits and was to be performed at their graduation ceremonies from the program.
Theo then realized he wanted much more now than just selling beats to up and coming artist through a magazine and helping others, he wanted a career from it all. And so his journey continues…….
Enters Theo the model…..
It was just another day at the gym for Theo, until he was approached by another gym member who handed him his business card….. Which changed everything. The card was from a designer/photographer, Ean Williams of Cojor International, who stated he liked Theo’s looked and wouldn’t mine working with him. Theo, who had never thought of exploring the world of modeling, took this as a blessing and knowing if God has blessed you with a promising opportunity, why not give it a shot. So he did, contacting Mr. Williams the next day and setting up his first shoot for the mens underwear line Cojor Magnum.
Since then Theo’s had his face and might I add body all over the DMV (DC/MD/VA) modeling scene. From being in numerous of modeling shows to photoshoots, to request to be in artistic books and even female web sites.
Hitting the gym 5 times a week, Theo realizes hard work pays off….
Where will we see Theo’s face, cough, body next….. will just have to wait and see……
The Actor…
It seems like this guy can’t be stopped…..
Working with a fellow model that landed a lead role in a local show/series, Theo decided to take another step into unfamiliar territory, acting.
Getting the information from his model friend, he decided to contact the Director of the show and that’s all it took….
Since being an extra for the show Theo’s has landed 2 lead roles in 2 short films and landed a very impressive role in a short film based on a book written by an Author residing in England titled “Terminus”, a vampire/horror film and also has received request to be in local plays.
Like stated early… we might need a multiply choice option for this guy, he’s making the best out of everything he’s been bless with. Can you blame him….?
