I have been involved in the arts since the age of five. First it was fine art, then I played bass guitar throughout my teen years and well into my twenty's. After that, film maker, screenwriter, back to art with always music in between. I am a composer as well and attended B.I.T in 1984. In the early part of this century I began studying Bach's bass configuration theory and applied it to my original work. I am not a keyboard player so I transposed each note into a computer and had it play the keyboards for me. The originals I composed were four part pieces. First the melody, then bass, then harmony, then tenor or the supportive line. In my work which consists of five short "movements" pay special attention to the bass line and it's support of the melody line directly. This is Bach's theory but what I learned at the Bass Institute of Technology as well. So many bass players these days aren't learning correctly and their work suffers from it..
