For every generation there is an artist that transcends time, an artist that doesn't quite fit the mainstream mold. Romeo is that artist. His writing, singing and producing, always catches the heart of the listener. He has been called one of the greatest lyricists ever, and coming from a musical family enables him to shape those lyrics into some of the most beautiful musical arrangements. Romeo is the proof that love and passion can be pure.
Ron North, the new soul of music, was born September 13, 1970 in Tampa
Florida. Due to his father’s military background Ron was raised all over the world.
Carl and Dorothy Hawkins, the minister of music and director of every choir of every
church Ron ever attended, trained him and his three brothers well musically. The
musical roots, blended with the diversity of cultures experienced by Ron as a child and young
man, molded him into the singer, writer, producer, and dancer that he is today.
Formerly of the group SoulFruit, Ron has traveled the country, performing with
great artists like Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, and Brandy. Ron’s goal in life is to love people, and make music that people love. Ron’s music addresses the one issue that can defeat all that confronts us today and that’s just love!
