We Are Made2BelieveŠ..Whatchu Believin? -- Brazill aka J1 It seems like it was just yesterday since M2B won the coveted endorsement contract with SteelRoots‹a christian youth ministry and network, where Brazill Vasquez, aka J1, performed on Mixx Master Lounge, and was introduced to the world. Since then his gift has certainly made room for him, opening up for such hit recording artists like Da Truth and Mr. Del. He¹s performed at Bishop Eddie Long¹s Youth Conference Reconnect in Florida and most recently at FlavorFest‹one of the largest holy hip hop festivals in the nation; along with numerous appearances at NewBirth Charlotte, plus media attention to boot. This young man is definitely going places; and what has captivated audiences then and now, is his ability to rouse a crowd with his infectious melody and dynamic sound. Brazill incorporates a blend of gospel music and christian rap; favored with a hip-hop beat and stamped with his signature style. He raps the truth straight to your face, and makes no apologies or hesitation, with a commitment to excellence and the word of God above all else.
It all started very early for him, coming by way of Fort Mill, South Carolina, were his gifts and talents were honed by his faith in Jesus Christ. Brazill began writing music at 8 years old, and he hasn¹t stopped since; so it comes as no surprise his musical roots run deep, he¹s the grandson of world renowned baritone saxophonist Hamiett Bluiett. Always thinking outside the box, it would be just a matter of time before passion and destiny produced M2B--a name Brazill came up based on John 1--³that we are made to believe and that we must place our faith in Him², says Brazill.
M2B rose to popularity after they performed and won at Divine Talents, an artist showcase in Charlotte NC; shortly after winning the contest, they began getting invitations to perform throughout the Carolinas and the rest is history. But as in life and certainly in music, M2B has seen its share of changes. Emerging now as a solo artist, Brazill is excited about the upcoming release of his debut album, iFRESH, having matured as an artist, composer, and producer.
