Jocey is a singer songwriter and producer with a great passion for music. She grew up in a musical family in the Netherlands in Apeldoorn. At the tender age of 4 she created her own songs and lyrics, while her father was recording her singing. Her mother was a Gospel singer and sang in a Gospel group named "Relation". Jocey often joined her father watching her mother singing. Jocey was very inspired by her mother's singing.
When Jocey was just 15 she and her friend auditioned for a popular TV talent show in The Netherlands, called "The Soundmix Show".
In 2001 Jocey did an audition for the Pop department at the Conservatory in Rotterdam. They offered her a place. This study took about 4 years before Jocey graduated and received her diploma.
Jocey is always very busy with writing and recording her own songs, spending her days in her studio at home working on her songs. This year she made her debut with her first single "I AM ME", produced by Jocey herself. Jocey started a collabration with Ken Lewis, who is a top major label Mixer / Engineer / Producer / Musician from New Jersey and he has won 6 Grammy's, 48 Gold and Platinum albums and singles, 28 #1 albums and singles and 14 more Grammy nominations so far. Ken mixed all Jocey's songs. Together with Andy Krehm who has associated with names such as the Pointer Sisters, Aretha Franklin, etc. taking care of the mastering of Jocey's songs.
