Sherrod Aiken was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Savannah. Sherrod’s early education was in the Savannah school system. His family was led by God to move to the Kansas City area in his middle school years. He graduated from Grandview High School in Grandview, Missouri. During his school years, Sherrod performed with church and school choirs and his vocal achievements were recognized at the state competition level. His love of music stayed with him after graduating high school and was further nurtured by the church.
Sherrod joined the United States Navy shortly after graduation. Still with a deep love for God and music, he again sought out ways to praise God. He joined a Navy Gospel group during his first few years. Sherrod continues to focus on his music and his personal relationship with Christ as he continues to allow God to direct his path.
