Aly was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but her family moved to "Hotlanta," Georgia when she was in high school. She began performing at a very young age in various school and church productions, but it wasn't until 10th grade that she realized it was what she wanted to do forever. As a student at The Westminster Schools in Georgia, Aly had the opportunity to do a ton of amazing musical theatre and ensemble singing. At Miami University (OH), she continued her performing dream and majored in theatre arts. After graduating, she did exactly what one would expect and moved to The Big Apple. Over the course of the next 10 years, Aly performed in several regional productions and even started her own theatre company with a group of her close friends. BUT, her favorite performances were with her original pop/funk/soul/rock band "i like orange". The band was founded by Aly and her closest friend, Sarah Chaney. When they met at Miami University, they KNEW they had musical chemistry from the get-go....now, exactly 10 years later, they picked up where they left off and started their band. Performing in the New York circuit and surrounding areas was Aly's favorite time in the city. "i like orange" developed a great following and got the chance to perform at venues such as The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery and Crash Mansion. In 2009, Aly left New York and moved to Maryland to get married!! She now lives with her husband Jeff and teaches musical theatre and acting classes in the Baltimore
