The producer/Writer/engineer/community activist Demetrius Harper aka Mech was born on May 17, 1987 in Milwaukee, WI. Known in the Milwaukee music scene as an underground artist and producer, Mech started his career with the fundamental technique of networking and voicing his talent throughout Milwaukee. At the age of 15, Mech had taught himself the craft of producing. This young prodigy gained his inspiration in his early years from listening to various producers such as Manny Fresh during the “Cash Money era”. By simply listening to the details of songs, Mech taught himself how to create good quality music but also learned how to create complete productions. He later attended Winona State University to pursue a degree in Mass communication but later determined that it wasn’t the direction he wanted to go in for his future in production. He eventually teamed up with Fellow artist Drez and DJ Willie shakes to create the Swag Boyz production team.
Mech has an electric sound that demands much attention. He has produced and engineered over 200 mix tapes which includes; Prophetics “Mo Prophit Mo progress and as of recent the “No Condom No Radio Mix tape”. Mech’s productions have also been featured on Core DJ Willie Shakes: “Hi-Haters Vol. 1 - Vol. 3” and “MKE Mix tape Radio Vol. 1 - Vol. 4”. Also to mention the he has made numerous collaborations with various local artist’ as well as know artist such as Chester French, Yung Kee, Paypa Chase, Ray Rizzie, Streetz & Young Deuces, UMG “ Royal Fam”, Mack N Mal, and Lil Rock .
