Formed aeons ago by Martin Johnson of Gainesville, Florida, Johnsons Motorcar (JMC) had been a regular on the Tokyo Irish scene for years. 15 member changes later, enter Blacko (Dublin, Ireland) and Beanie (Mt Fuji, Japan) and JMC became one of the most popular acoustic acts on the Tokyo scene
In the recent past new member Katsuya Nakanishi (Aomori, Japan) has been rocking the bass and Blacko has switched over to more electric guitar pursuits, but the show remains the same. Full on Rock'n'roll expressed through Irish traditional tunes and songs or as we like to call it
"Rockin' folk'n'trad"
JMC have since become one of the MOST sought after live shows in Tokyo and Japan as they continue to delight and surprise customers time and time again. Expect more and bigger news for 2010!
