Strictly Da Biz.. "Nu PaiGe" the M.C and "Top Knotch" the Producer.. Bum-Bham- Off The Meat Rack!!! Both twenty sumptin' years young, rising to the occasion. Attitudes optimistic towards the future of Hip-Hop / Rap Music & Yard Core. No new comers to the sound of foundation music, the current artistry of Bold Silence, is a true reflection of what was, and what is to come. Both raised on the North Side of Da BooGie a.k.a The Bronx.. And both attended DeWitt Clinton High School; A solid march through time has kept the homies as homies, down for life brothers, still for the cause years later.
Top Knotch has interned with various New York City studio's, so he has a good comfort level and good knowledge on production and the sound he builds. Passion for tight music, his beautiful babygirl, and wanting to see "The North Bronx" officially put on the map is the fire burning. Tales from The Bronx come out easily when Nu PaiGe and Top Knotch collaborate. For starters, Knotch has been listening to PaiGe flow for years. Knotch knows how to challenge PaiGe and push him to step his game up everytime! PaiGe would battle various rappers in school, or after school, and at local parks, where ciphers would be held. Likewise, on the Ave. (Jerome) in front of Big G's, up the block from Clinton, it would go down and reputations were built!
Bold Silence expresses all aspects of life. Both, PaiGe and Knotch, know the realities of transition from children to men, growing up exposed to it all. Top Knotch instrumentals are the sound of the hood, and Nu PaiGe so powerfully attacks any track given with a serious flow.. No doubt.. The Home of Hip-Hop can stand up and be proud. Bold Silence has three main objectives. These objectives are: 1) raise public awareness at all times and not only times of crisis. 2) aggressively address issues that affect minorities. 3) bring this Hip Hop / Rap Music & Yard Core back to its roots. Musical influences include: Krs-1, Bounty Killa, Wu-Tang Clan, Kool Herc, Dj. Premier, Super Cat, Das Effex, Tribe Called Quest, U-Roy, Pete Rock & C.L Smooth, Tanya Stephens, Snoop Dogg, Rakim, Buju Banton, Queen Latifah, Pac, Big, Common, Bob Marley, Busta Rhymes, James Brown, Lauryn Hill, Cutty Ranks, Heavy D, Styles P, Shabba, Big Pun, Garnett Silk, Nas, LL, Slick Rick, Scarface, etc.
