Coming from a musical family, Ryan got his start playing piano at an early age. At 12 yrs old he took up bass and guitar.
Forming a hard-rock/metal band with a cousin he cut his teeth on the underground and college stages around the Peace country.
He bid the band a fond farewell when they decided to move to Vancouver, and chose to stay in Alberta where he continued to play with other bands and developed a wide range of guitar styles.
How does he feel about being the youngest member of Horse Thief? “I listen to a lot of hard rock / southern rock as well as classic country so I love to take a new approach to the old standards”
