John Revitte has five words to describe how he writes songs. "Raw emotion from the soul." I don't really like to change a song after it comes out. The music and lyrics come out the way they were supposed to come out. I feel my job is to complete each song and send it out and then go on to the next song and do the same." Revitte's songs have been listed under a number of different genres including folk,blues,folk rock and alternative. The songs have received a number of comments by reviewers including extreme soulfulness,raw and real,very unique lyrics and instrumentation,music from way down deep in a soul as well as heartfelt vocals sung with heart and conviction were among a few of the comments used to describe the songs.
