LPE was to be a one time appearance at a jazz festival in Central Pennsylvania. Tom (Reese) asked us to put together a group to fill out the bill in Wrightsville, a festival which gains more notoriety each year it continues. With a quick collaboration between Bobby and Johnny, the material was selected and the lineup for the group put in place. The original group existed of Johnny, Bobby, Bob Fry on bass, and Lancaster’s first call drummer Aaron Walker. After over a year hiatus the band came back together in March of 2008 to begin work on the premiere solo album you hold in your hands. the band began to thrive during the recording sessions and this new sound was born. The band worked close but, allowed a lot freedom for expression. Johnny Bravo & The Latin Percussion Ensemble should be a favorite for music lovers, listeners, and dancers everywhere.

Spooky CRUISING IN THE SOUNDS Man Johnny and the Ensemble take it to the limits and and lay down one cool jam with "Spooky" Enjoy and kick right on back with these sounds. Johnny Bravo And Latin Percussion Ensemble The JazzXpress Caravan Congo Square Congo Square brings out the New Orleans spirit of the past & present. Johnny Bravo And Latin Percussion Ensemble Shotgun?FunkyBroadway I like the way this band put a Latin twist on a Classic Soul song. I enjoyed the solo in the middle of the song. What ever happened to solo parts in songs? Goin'in the "Old School" portion of my station. Great work all!!! If You're Not The Lead Dog at KIAC and IACmusic.com

Johnny Bravo And Latin Percussion Ensemble Shotgun?FunkyBroadway Classic remake of that hot rockin out tune from way back in the day with a funky kicking out mix. these Cats really swing it out and with a twist all their own and with a fine signature stamp that sets this one apart from the many covers I have heard over the many years I have been in the biz...Yah , real well arranged with cool shots of various instrumentation happening, nice horn section makes this tune jump up in your face and nice chops on the keys too, punching it, tasty guitar slathering it here and there. sax player wails it too, nice and giving it a short burst of jump is that trumpet, Some solid percussion works it and keeps it moving and a rockin, yah so who is keeping it in the pocket is that big fat bass throwing down a sweet groove...and that singer. well that dude is got a damn good voice...nails it.all in all , kickin azz big time dudes rockin it so well....
