I am genuinely a music lover of ALL genres. The irony of the situation is that I am an avid lyricist when it comes to rap however I don't listen to a great deal of rap music per say lol. Don't get it wrong though, I love hip hop. She birthed me. Music in itself is a form of communication that can be understood and felt beyond all ethnic, language, and racial barriers and in that alone I have found myself in love with it. Raised on Detroit's west side I found myself in search of a way out of the place that confined my relatives for so long. Incase you've never been to Detroit its fair to say that it is every bit just as bad as you've seen in the movies. Once I had children it became a must to be successful in that task of changing my circumstances so that they could take off from a more elevated plateau in a matter of speaking. I think I had to be maybe 3 years old when I first remember falling in love with her. She would sing me to sleep by the sounds of Anita Baker and then later Rachelle Farelle. I had found my way out . . . Music. And as soon as my penmanship allowed it I was writing music lol
