“You’re a breath of fresh air and a hip hop beast at the same time”,
a super hyped fan shouted, as Mareezy left the stage of one of his many open mic performances. This North Carolina native has always had a love for music from birth. His military parental influence allowed him to hear many genres of music from all areas of the world, influencing his ears from a young age. Mareezy started rapping at the age of 14 and has continued to rhyme every since. Mareezy, a.k.a. “Reezy da Beast”, love for music grew as he continued to strive for excellent grades throughout his high school days at Lee Senior High, in the small town of Sanford, North Carolina. Mareezy was crowned best artist of the year in 2003 and awarded a partial art scholarship, which assisted him continue on with his education, resulting with him earning his bachelors degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2008.
Mareezy currently resides in Pompano Beach, Florida and is known throughout the South Florida region for randomly appearing at open mics and smashing each performance, leaving the crowd asking for more. His fans love “Shake It” and his sure to become #1hit single “Dougie Fresh”. Mareezy has released several mix tapes and collaborated with many different local artists on a variety of projects, with future desires of releasing his #1 banger “Swagged Out” project in 2012.
