The LUC ARTENO TRIO is a power-trio on top of a new french blues-rock wave. Amazing slide-guitar and extra-large open tuning are the secret recipe to guitarist and singer, Luc Arténo’s, music. This songwriter made his onstage debut in 1974; he writes and sings in French, integrating well the rhythm of his maternal language to the music he makes. Most of his musical knowledge is due to the 70s movement known as ‘white blues’, and Luc is deeply inspired by the collection of guitar heroes who marked this period.
Luc’s poetry is an engaged one- his lyrics deal with political aspects, human philosophy and imperfections of human nature, rather than rehashed love stories and day-by-day life.
This new line-up of Laurent Lahierle on bass guitar and Damien Boes on drums bring us into a deep and energetic, original musical universe.
The authenticity of the songs are revealed by themselves. Yet again, the culture’s melting pot gives us new dimensions to explore.
A first album will be released at the end of 2009.
