The club DJ will be pla...ying Contestant’s tracks & videos all night long and Contestants will also be able to perform live PA’s in the venue if they so wish. This event will be an ideal way to network with other Contestants, Fans & Industry professionals. Our cameraman will be filming parts of the evening and some of the footage will be used on the “INITIATION” show. We will only organise these events if we have a minimum of 200 members attending each time. For any member wishing to attend, simply click on “Attend Event”. Record Deals read this important are you looking to get a record deal with a record company? if so read this, many people are failing to be heard because record companies have changed the rules in how you send a demo to them. you need to now find a manager, producer or some one high up to act on your behalf other wise they will not play your music. SENDING A DEMO TAPEPlease be advised that for example:Capitol Records does not accept unsolicited demo cassette or video tapes, records, CD’s, or other material for consideration. We will ONLY accept material submitted through established sources (i.e. managers, attorneys, agents, producers, publishers, etc.) All other packages will not be listened to and will be returned. you may even hear it said in this phrase to: Can I send ? a demo tape of my band? Sorry, no. It is the policy of for example Virgin Records America not to accept unsolicited material, which means that we cannot accept recorded material or lyrics unless submitted by a reputable industry source. This source must be a manager, attorney, agent, producer, publisher, promoter, music journalist or similar industry professional, so long as the source has a favorable track record or rapport with our label. so for those serious bands and artists get finding a person who knows the music industry 100 percent who you can trust, will support you 100 percent and will help you get seen, heard and signed, or if you prefer not to get involved with a record company, you can go it alone doing it yourself as total independant, these days you do not have to rely on record companies, as long as you build your fan base, get seen and heard on gigs, get your promotional material posted every where and you get a real good recognised distributer to help your first track release of music sell in shops thats where it is at now, the online internet taking over and record companies will find it hard in the future to get any band or artist to sign up with them, they will lose out not you, have faith and get yourself noticed the way you want. P.S ALSO REMEMBER BEFORE SENDING A DEMO TO A RECORD COMPANY THAT YOU CHECKED OUT WHAT GENRES OF MUSIC THEY DEAL WITH AND WHO TO ACTUALY SEND IT TO IN WHAT DEPARTMENT. aND ALWAYS SEND A MAX OF 3 TRACKS AND IT IS ADVISED PUT A 30 SECOND CLIP OF THE FULL TRACK BEFORE THE FULL TRACK ON THE DEMO, THE BEST PART OF THE TRACK THE HOOK LINE THAT WILL WIN THEM OVER.
