Hill 62 is a collection of creative efforts spearheaded by amateur Song Writer/Producer Sean Burns in collaboration with lifelong friends and musical soul-mates Shawn Turner and Chris Vadnais, and father Dave Burns. Some songs are new inspirations while others were written years ago which have been updated and recorded recently.
Sean and Shawn wrote and performed original songs together as a duet called Simon Says with the aid of a drum machine and cassette recorder. If only the resources available now were available then, eh Shawn?
Sean and Chris performed for many years together in projects such as Luv Junki and Leash, playing covers and writing originals. Highlights included being the host band for wet T-Shirt contests at Salisbury Beach Sidewalk Cafe and opening for a local band, God Smack, before they signed and went off to the big time. I guess they don't need our PA system anymore.
Dave Burns is an accomplished musician who still "Gigs" for a living. Not like the rest of us wanna-be's :-)
The name Hill 62 comes from a landmark in the city of Lowell, Massachusetts which we all frequented in our early years. It has an amazing view of the city and was a cool place to "party" and strum our guitars.
