SHIFT is a music and visual media project by songwriter/artist Paul Tardo. Originally from Long Island NY, Paul moved to California in 2002 to pursue interests in music and digital media arts.
Paul began his music career as a singer/songwriter playing local cafes in NY, San Francisco, and the Sierra Foothills of Northern California. Work on the debut SHIFT LP began in early 2006 with producer Orpheos DeJournette.
The SHIFT Folk-Tronic sound is hard to pin down so it's best to just give it a listen. It's a mix of sticky melodies, insightful lyrics, acoustic strings, and synthesizers. It is reported that many of the songs on the debut album get stuck in your head for quite a while after just one listen.
