What is ROXITY?
THE music production and songwriting camp, started in the summer of 2007, with the insight and vision of Levi Beard and Andre White. The two first worked together on the project of a local artist. The project tanked, but the two formed a friendship and musical coup that translated into the formation of Roxity. Upon its creation, the group enlisted the help of aspiring singers and songwriters in the Houston area. However, the group eventually downsized due to lack of group chemistry. When the smoke cleared, Erica Young (Mizz Young), and Will Yancy (E-Plat) joined the Roxity vision. As the group ended the 2009 year, Roxity hit another milestone by getting its L.L.C. status and establishing Music On The Rox Publishing.
Who is Andre' "Dre Boogie" White?...
Co-CEO/Engineer/Producer. I am a self-motivated engineer/producer who has 6 years experience with Pro Tools LE/HD versions 6.0 - 7.3, Reason 3.0 - 4.0, Recyle REX/Wave Editor, Goldwave Wave Editor, Cubase, Cakewalk Home Studio. I am a natural techie who graduated with a Business Admin/Computer information Systems Management degree from Houston Baptist University and have worked as a consultant for over 10 years. I worked as a part-time studio engineer for WKM Records (We Know Music). I am the lead engineering for several compilation projects and have had the opportunity to work with national recording artists such as the legendary Bobby Lyle, Najee, Oliver Scott, and Zacardi Cortez. I've also worked with several locally known artists, musicians, and producers such as Kyle Turner(Woodwind), Andre Venson(MD), Chris Black(Bass), Kerry Wilson(Clean Guitar), Mary Griffith(Singer), and many more. I have been registered with ASCAP since 2005 and I have produced over 500 tracks for several artists. I have completed Hip Hop(Grubbz, Black P.R.O.F.I.T., etc.), Spoken Word(Poetic Evolution), Pop(Got Da Sweets), Jazz(Jimmy Baber, Sherry Ginwright, Christina Williams, etc.), Movie Scoring(Necrophobia - Horror), and Perfomance Soundtracks(Team Acrodunk). One of my high energy performance tracks, that I produced for TEAM ACRODUNK, was featured on America's Got Talent. I have currently produced/engineered a pop track called Got Da Sweets for a debut artist in Houston. Who is Levi Beard?...
Co-C.E.O. Levi Beard has developed his songwriting and music production skills for over 10 years. After moving to Houston in 1999, he began working with many local artists, honing his craft in production work in such music forms as rhythm & blues, gospel and hip hop. After starting Roxity with Andre White in 2007, Levi got the desire to form a creative business of songwriting that would formulate a perfect balance of pop, r&b and hip hop genres.
Levi’s desire for the production company is that it be an example of what other Houston talent is capable of creating once given the chance on the world stage.
