IT is really no mystery to see this Artist emerging this strong from the Underground World of THE MUSIC INDUSTRY to the Mainstream. King Tut The Don is no new jack artist to HIP HOP, being a 10 year plus veteran ,rapper,ghost writer,and producer king tut the don has definitely paid his dues. About 5 years ago tut was took under the wings of music mogul and record producer RICK WARD, who arranged music for INDIA ERIE, BRIAN MC KNIGHT, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, ANITA BAKER, HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH ETC..Rick Ward seen a glowing potential in King Tut The Don and mentored him and cutt his 1st self titled album (Kind Tut The Don). Which was held back from major pushing due to Rick touring THE WORLD . King Tut aka JOHN K Vercelli Wilson . was born in Youngstown Ohio and emerged on the rap scene big time with his rap crew The Villians in 1992. The rap group grew to be Ohio’s biggiest underground rap/street crew in hip hop, the growing stardom led to the villians 1st mainstream album but was held back due to internal business agreements. So King decided to break away from the crew and continue his professional journey .King Tut (QUOTES) I took time to study the business and learn the ends and outs of the industry. TVT RECORDS. A&R walked me threw a years steps of professional encouragement and and the system of record labels.. During this time King Tut produced and rapped on a young and upcoming R&B artist song. Marc Gregory ‘, who had music over seas and was entering the song for a CLEAR CHANNEL ( KISS FM RADIO ) local artist contest . MARC GREGORY won the 1st few rounds and that brought King Tut The Don ,to the(spotlight ) of the MAINSTREAM MUSIC WORLD of RADIO ., WITH CHRISTINE MILLIAN ,complimenting THE SONGS ( HARD HITTING PRODUCTION )., which was produced by KING TUT THE DON ,broke the mold. KING had finally found his niche" for making great music and making the THE MUSIC INDUSTRY ’’’bounce’’’ to his style of ( futuristic )funk and creativity .( KING TUT THE DON ) QUOTES’’’’
I finally found out who i was "!! and what i was doin as an ARTIST and what i have learned ( ITS ALL ABOUT PAYING DUES ) and being humble no matter where you come from ,It is a BUSINESS PROFESSION , and a way of life for us artist .So I am happy and blessed i am pushing my talents and work to a professional level of people and pushing me to where i need to be at in this business ( IN THE SPOTLIGHT ) .
